The weather was great, the food was super and Mark Ronson and Kanye West were amazing.
A full report will come soon, but for now, it’s back to work and normality (if that’s not a real word, it should be). Just know this: there were zero sightings of Beatle Bob (I’m not sure he’s alive); Wilco’s new song, “One Wing,” is fantastic (duh) and rib sandwiches taste good even if you’re overwhelmed by the smell of horse feces, courtesy of the Chicago Police Department.
Also, Florida Marlins fans are the worst in baseball. Three months into my MLB Logo Project, they are the only team I’ve yet to spot. I went into the Lollapalooza weekend needing the Marlins, Kansas City Royals and Toronto Blue Jays, and I saw a surprising amount of the gear for the Royals and Jays.
No such luck with the Marlins, who are having a pretty strong year.
If I didn’t spot one in Chicago, it’s doubtful I’m going to rock up and find one in, say, Sadieville. The search, however, will continue.
