I managed a pretty fair round of picks last week, going 4-1 in college (stupid Boston College messing everything up) and 11-5 in the pros, missing out on wins by Houston, Tampa Bay, Cleveland, Arizona and Washington.
To date, my college record is 4-1, with my NFL mark at 23-9.
So, for this week, bet on this:
College
(No.12) South Carolina at (No. 2) LSU
Steve Spurrier has South Carolina moving up the national rankings, but LSU is just too dominant to lose this one, particularly at home. Look for the Tigers to Gamecock-block this game.
(No. 10) Penn State at Michigan
In 2005, Penn State was just a few seconds away from an unbeaten season, with their one loss coming at the very end of the game at UM. This year, the Nittany Lions get revenge and then some over a dreadful Wolverines squad.
(No. 21) UK at Arkansas
This is a tough one to call. UK is riding high off a monumental victory over Louisville, and Arkansas is reeling over a heartbreaking loss to Alabama. Can the Wildcats pull off two straight big-game wins, meaning Arkansas drops two in a row? Ultimately, I’ve been burned too many times by UK to pick them in a game like this, so even though it breaks my heart, I have to pick the Razorbacks.
(No. 22) Georgia at (No. 16) Alabama
Is Alabama ranked too high? Sure, but that’s probably more to do with voters being enamored with Coach Nick Saban. Georgia is better than its ranking, so this should be a close one. In the end, though, I see the Crimson Tide coming out on top.

College wise, I tend to agree with your picks, although I see Georgia winning out over Alabama in an extremely close game.
In the NFL, look for the Jets to whoop up on Miami and a rallied Cleveland team to continue to stomp on Al Davis’ heart. We really need to get Cincinnati to play Oakland at home, if for no other reason than to get Chad Johnson into a track suit in the end zone.
