It’s always difficult to make a “Best Of” list each year, but that doesn’t stop anyone at all from trying. The lists are, of course, completely subjective, and this one is no different. The 2000s, or The Aughts, if you prefer (and I do), had some masterful films that deserve mention in the Best of the Decade list of most people. You’ll see more than a few on this list, I’m sure.

How can it be time to start thinking of “Best of Decade” lists?

A couple of weeks ago, Cory and I, in our quest to become even geekier, started discussing the candidates for the “Best of 2000s” lists in movies and music. He went so far as to actually compile a list of his top 50 albums (a list he says he’ll post as a blog one day, and I hope he does because it has some interesting choices), while I’ve started a smaller list of my own for movies.
